Get Involved

There are several ways which you can get involved:

Become a volunteer - We always need people to help us out at our fundraising events with jobs such as stewarding, taking part in a collection day, kitchen duties and much more.  Everyone welcome.
Become a Committee Member - Our committee are the backbone of the organisation.  Without them we would not survive.  The committee meets once a month in an informal atmosphere and makes decisions about the future of the organisation.  Everyone welcome.
Make Crafts - We raise funds by selling crafts which people kindly donate to us.  If you are good at craft making and would like to donate something which you have made please contact us.
Collect Mobile Phones - We raise funds by selling old unwanted mobile phones.  If you have any unwanted mobile phones please donate them to us.  You could have a mobile phone amnesty at your work place and ask everyone to bring in their unwanted phones on a specific day.
Donate items of use - We use a lot of paper and envelopes at our office.  If you would be kind enough to donate any amount of these items we would be very grateful.
Put posters up - We always need people to volunteer to put posters up around Lowestoft for our forthcoming fundraising events.  If you regularly visit establishments in any part of Lowestoft and would like to put one of our posters up please contact us.
Hold a fundraising day:  The possibilities are endless.  You could have a work fancy dress day where everyone donates 1 to come to work in fancy dress, you could have a cake stall at your work or you could organise any kind of event.  Contact us if you would like more information or advice.
Sell football squares - We have cards in our office with the names of football teams on.  The idea is that you sell the squares for 1 each.  When all the squares are sold the panel is scratched off and the winner gets 20.  You can sell them to anyone.  If you would like to do this please contact us.
Become a member - Membership costs just 2 per year and everyone is welcome.  Look on the 'Become a Member' section of the site for more info.
Demonstation at our social club - Have you got an interesting hobby or any knowledge about an interesting subject?  Would you be interested in giving a short talk on this at our social club on a tuesday morning?  If so give us a call.
Donate Unwanted Items - We sell your donated items on our eBay page.  Please contact us if you have an item which you think we could sell.
Buy from our eBay - Occasionally we have items for sale on our eBay which have been donated.  These are mostly new and often a collectable item.  Our eBay user name is lowestoftmencap.
Use our search engine - We have a fundraising search engine.  It will not cost you anything to use and the funds raised from it go to us.  It's a small amount at a time but Everyclick counts:
